Horseback rides in the countryside take you along a beautiful route of white roads through the gentle hills of Volterra, even during the evocative sunset hour on cool summer evenings.
During the lesson and the ride, you will interact with our instructors, who will safely guide you and share with you, in Italian and English, interesting facts and anecdotes about the world of horse riding. The riding style is English. For the safety of your family, children under 14 years old are not allowed to ride outside the arena.
Upon arrival at our stable, you will be greeted by your instructor who will provide you with a safety helmet and basic information for saddling the horse and the type of riding. During the evaluation lesson, you will learn how to hold the reins and understand the horse’s behavior outside the arena. The ride begins among the gentle hills surrounding Volterra and continues along the shores of Lake Gattero. Let yourself be amazed by the unforgettable landscapes that only the heart of Tuscany can offer.
At the end of your ride, you can reach our restaurant “La Cantina” just a few steps away and savor the true Tuscan taste in an imaginative PICNIC by the lake, discover its “luxury” version in our fragrant lemon house, sip a glass of wine in a tasting or enjoy the dishes of our tradition on one of our panoramic terraces.
This experience is subject to favorable weather conditions and terrain suitability.
Our horses are not suitable for weights over 90 kg.
It is possible to go out on walks in groups of up to 4 people at a time. Larger groups may be split up.
